KWACH RUNFLAT Tire Systems also help prevent loss of vehicle control as result of high speed blow-outs because our runflat systems support the weight of the vehicle during a flat tyre thus, maintaining vehicle mobility during braking, acceleration & handling.
Our Run Flat Systems have been tested and validated by MHA, Govt. of India, and also tested for ballistic resistance of material by an international laboratory in UK. Run-Flat tyres offer drivers temporary extended mobility even after a puncture allows complete air pressure loss. However, even run-flat tires will fail if driven too fast, too far or too heavily loaded when flat.
Vehicle handling with run-flat tires at zero pressure is different than at full pressure, too. Aggressive acceleration, cornering and braking should be avoided, as well as any unusual service conditions such as carrying heavy loads or towing a trailer.
PERFORMANCE
A well designed Run flat device should be capable of providing Run flat performance (Tyre completely deflated) of 3 to 50 KM at a stretch.
LOAD CAPACITY & (FITTING & LUBRICATION)
The Run flat system should be capable of supporting the weight of loaded vehicle on which it is used and should meet the operating condition for which the vehicle is designed.
KWACH Run flat system must fit properly in center of wheel rim & allow normal tyre mounting under all conditions. The balance of wheel assembly must be maintained & the systems should cator for effective lubrication to reduce heat due to slippage.
BALLISTIC RESISTANCE
Runflat system must able to resist bullet shots from 10 meters distance & should comply with all the requirements as laid down in FINABEL document.
The tyre has to be deflated by shooting with 7.62mm Nato Caliber ammunition, 5 shots in its wall located in the 90 degree sector & 2 shots in its tread from 50 meter distance as specified in FINABEL.
